I wrote my first verse in the third grade. At that time, I was under the alias 'Triple Five'. In the sixth through eighth grade, I became more serious and recorded several tracks with my homey Venom. I soon realized that the message in these songs was not the one I wanted to convey. I got serious about music at the beginning of highschool. Me and my partner Benz began writing and have been evolving ever since. My style is majorly influenced by north-east coast artists, such as Mos Def, Punchline and Wordsworth, Rah Digga, and most significantly, Talib Kweli. I try to focus on the way the rhymes sound first, and then the message delivered in each one. My goal is to become popular as a southern artist with a northern style. Right now, I battle online under the alias 'The Janitor' (!)I recorded 16 tracks on an album I call 'Vernacular'. Hopefully you will be able to hear them.
